April 28, 2008 For more information contact: Jim Taylor (315) 859-4685 Hamilton College’s varsity eight finished third in the grand final at the Liberty League championships held on Fish Creek in Saratoga Springs, N.Y., on April 26. The varsity eight’s time in the grand final was 6:57.60 on the 2,000-meter course. Hobart College won the title with a time of 6:42.81, and St. Lawrence University finished just ahead of Hamilton in 6:56.35. Ricky Bottini ’10 was the coxswain for the varsity eight. Charlie Palanza ’10 was stroke, and Tim Belden ’10 was in the bow seat. The rest of the rowers included (seats seven through two in descending order): Ben Sholl ’09, JEFF CARDONI ’11 (KENSINGTON, N.H./EXETER AREA HS), Willy Cowles ’09, Jonathan Wilson ’09, Mike Millar ’08 and Andre Matias ’11.
