Hamilton College Sports Weekly Release (Men's Crew)
Oct. 20-21 at the Head of the Charles Regatta (Boston, Mass.).
Hamilton College rowers finished fifth in the varsity eight at the Hobart & William Smith College Challenge on the Canal Regatta in Geneva, N.Y., on Oct. 13. Hamilton’s time was 16:26 on the 4,200-meter course. Members of Hamilton’s varsity eight included coxswain Dan Rudel ’10, stroke Charlie Palanza ’10 and John Watkins ’10 in the bow seat. Seats seven through two (in descending order) were occupied by: Tim Belden ’10, Jonathan Wilson ’09, Mike Millar ’08, JEFF CARDONI ’11 (KENSINGTON, N.H./EXETER HS), RD Eisenhart ’11 and Jerome Noel ’09. Ricky Bottini ’10 was coxswain for Hamilton’s varsity four “A” entry that finished eighth out of 13 boats. The time was 17:20, which was 59 seconds behind the winners from Hobart. Palanza was stroke, Millar was in the bow seat, Belden was three-seat and Wilson was two-seat. Rudel was coxswain for Hamilton’s “B” entry that recorded a time of 17:35. Andre Matias ’11 was stroke, Eisenhart was in the bow seat, Noel was three-seat and Cardoni was two-seat.
